The Ukrainian Defense Minister Olexiy Reznikov reported that tens of thousands of Ukrainians killed after the beginning of the wholesale russian invasion.
In the CNN interview he denied to name the exact numbers but said he hopes the number of dead is below 100 000.
The minister added that some international partners believed Ukraine will be defeated in three days and this belief caused the delay in providing the necessary weapons.

The President Volodymyr Zelensky told earlier about the number of everyday casualties being up to 100 soldiers.
The number of deceased civilians is now impossible to estimate, because russians in the temporarily occupied areas are burying dead in mass graves or burning them.
