Maj-Gen Dmytro Marchenko has returned to Mykolaiv Region. He will strengthen the interaction between the military administration and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the head of the regional military administration, Vitaliy Kim, has said.
According to him, Marchenko will perform tasks both in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
"Gen Marchenko is returning to strengthen interaction between the military administration and the Armed Forces. He has been seconded to strengthen work with partisans, including in Kherson Region, and the military administration forces on many issues," Kim said.
Marchenko commanded the defence of Mykolayiv from the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion until April.
