Come Back Alive Foundation was the first in Ukraine to buy a Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicle. Its cost is 16,502,450 USD.
The foundation said on social networks that the complete system includes:
an aerial communications system;
a mobile ground control system;
a ground-based data transmission terminal;
a friend-or-foe recognition system;
three attack drones;
several dozens of guided aerial munitions;
other necessary ground equipment and spare parts.
"Organising, contracting and logistics of such agreements impose certain limitations on publicity, but significantly speed up the delivery of aid to the end user, and I am grateful to the Come Back Alive team for trusting me to see this project through from start to finish", said Ruslana Velychko, a volunteer, lawyer and First Deputy Executive Director of the Ukrainian Veterans Fund.
Come Back Alive director Taras Chmut noted that the foundation is ready to continue providing the Ukrainian army with everything it needs, in particular, with equipment and weapons.
"But such agreements require silence until they are implemented. Therefore, every hryvnya transferred daily to the Foundation allows us to implement the most ambitious plans and together with other benefactors bring our common victory closer," Chmut added.
To make the purchase of the Bayraktar TB2 possible, Come Back Alive received permission to import military goods, particularly lethal weapons, back in March.
