Ukrainian commandos have destroyed a russian Ka-52 Alligator helicopter using the Igla man-portable air defence system, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said on Facebook.
"Commandos of the 25th Detached Airborne Sicheslav Brigade 'landed' an enemy Ka-52 attack helicopter with an accurate shot from the Igla SAM system," the statement reads.
It is noted that the cost of such a helicopter is about 16m dollars.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, russia has lost 39,700 troops in Ukraine.
