Five impacts were recorded during the morning attack on Vyshhorod District of Kyiv Region. Two more missiles were shot down by Ukraine's air defence, Oleksiy Kuleba, head of the Kyiv regional military administration, has said on telegram.
The attack took place on Ukrainian Statehood Day.
"Such impertinent actions of the russians once again prove that they encroach not only on our land, but also on our independence and authenticity. But our state and our sovereignty are inviolable," he stressed.
Kuleba urged all residents of the region not to ignore security alerts.
"We will stand tall and win! Glory to Ukraine!" he said.
Russia fired more than 20 missiles on Ukraine from the territory of Belarus this morning. Chernihiv Region was shelled particularly heavily. In Kyiv Region, a military unit was hit: one building was destroyed and two were damaged.
