MP Olha Sovhyrya of the Servant of the People faction has been elected a judge of the Constitutional Court.
The decision was backed by 293 MPs, 220 of which came from her faction, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak of the Voice faction told LB.ua.
Since 2005, Sovhyrya has worked as an assistant and since 2008 she has been an associate professor at the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law. Since 2010 she has been an Associate Professor at the Department of Constitutional Law of the Faculty of Law of the Kyiv Shevchenko National University.
She has authored more than 170 scientific works and is an expert in constitutional law.
