Ukraine has recovered more than 500 bodies of fallen soldiers who were on the missing persons list, Oleh Kotenko, commissioner for missing persons in special circumstances, has said at a briefing at the Media Centre Ukraine.
"Just yesterday we brought back another 17 bodies... These are those who have been missing," he said.
Kotenko noted that many people reported missing are alive, many are in captivity.
"We find a lot of people in captivity as well," he said.
Earlier, he noted that out of the reported 7,000 missing Ukrainian servicemen, which the Ukrainian authorities mentioned in June, 20-25% are in Russian captivity.
