Russia says it plans to deport over a hundred children from Luhansk Region, the head of the Luhansk regional military administration, Serhiy Hayday, has said.

According to him, russian presidential commissioner for children's rights Maria Lvova-Belova is actively involved in the abduction of Ukrainian children.

"The Telegram channel of the child kidnapper is full of messages about family shelter for Ukrainian orphans. The issue of arranging custody of Ukrainian orphans with russian families has been discussed by this Maria with self-proclaimed DPR and LPR leaders. In the near future, the orcs are planning to illegally remove 104 children from the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk Region," Hayday said.

He noted that this is "also a manifestation of genocide".

The regional authorities are working to collect more information about this crime.

Hayday also said that he informed the Ukrainian Prosecutor-General's Office accordingly.

As of 1 August, 203 children were considered missing and at least 5,754 had been illegally deported to russia, according to the Interior Ministry.

Three children who had been taken to russia by the occupiers were recently recovered.
