In the South, the Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced several tens of kilometers in certain areas. Four settlements are officially fully liberated and under the flag of Ukraine, the head of the Joint Coordinating Press Center of the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, Natalya Humenyuk announced at a briefing, according to an LB.ua correspondent.

"The occupiers continue to shell Mykolaiv Region. In particular, the territorial communities along the line of confrontation. Kryvyy Rih and Nikopol districts, where they have never set foot, too. In this way, they are trying to increase their psychological pressure to form an understanding, when they retreat under pressure, that supposedly this means nothing. And they keep very distant territories under fire control," she said.

However, the successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the southern area over the past two weeks are also very convincing.

"We have advanced from four to several tens of kilometers in separate sections and liberated an area of about 500 square kilometers."

We can proclaim that the settlements of Kherson Region: Vysokopillya, Novovoznesenske, Bilohirka, Sukhyy Stavok and Myrolyubivka - all of them have already been liberated today and are completely under the Ukrainian flag. Additional events are still taking place. But the population in these territories is already fully under the jurisdiction of Ukraine,” she stressed.

According to her, over the past two weeks, more than 1,800 occupiers, more than 500 vehicles and armored vehicles, more than 122 tanks, two aircrafts and two helicopters, and about 10 enemy cruise missiles have been destroyed in the southern direction alone.

Humeniuk confirmed that the occupiers are looking for an opportunity to surrender.

"Yes, they have such an option. They know that Ukraine complies with the norms of international humanitarian law. We’ve carried out a long and powerful work to inform the units of the occupying forces through correspondence, radio reports and other verbal methods of information on how to get out of the so-called special operation which they were involved in. Namely: how to incapacitate units and disable equipment, properly lay down their arms and enter the exchange fund, saving their lives,” she added.

Earlier, Humeniuk also said that the occupying troops find themselves in difficult conditions due to the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the South. And separate units of the russian army are set to negotiate with Ukrainian fighters on the surrender of weapons.
