During the week of work of the "I want to live" hotline, russians called more than 2000 times, Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Malyar said at a briefing, the correspondent of LB.ua reports.
"Russians are reluctant to go to war. In the first week of the project, the hotline was called over 2000 times. They ask how to surrender," says Malyar.
In addition, according to her, there are known facts of deaths of recently mobilized russians. To hide this, the russian officials ordered to burn their bodies.
She added that since 24 February the Ministry of Defence has been working to inform russians how they can become prisoners. They also work preventively with the Belarusian military.
The day before, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reported that a 26-year-old russian, who was sent from Orsk to the front in Ukraine five days after receiving a summons, surrendered. He called the hotline while still in russia.
