Russia used 20 cruise, aviation and anti-aircraft guided missiles to hit Zaporizhzhya, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has said on Facebook.
In total, Russian troops carried out five missile and 12 air strikes during the day, as well as more than 30 attacks from multiple rocket launchers. Russia continues to use Iranian-made Shahed-136 unmanned aerial vehicles. One of them was destroyed by Ukraine's air defence in the Black Sea.
The population and facilities in over 30 settlements suffered from the Russian strikes. Among them are Bereznehuvate, Makiyivka, Spirne, Bilohorivka, Zelenopillya, Vremivka, Maryinka, Novomykhaylivka, Vuhledar, Davydiv Brid, Nova Kamyanka, Tryfonivka.
Over the past day, units of the Ukrainian Defecse Forces repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Budarky, Terny, Soledar, New York, Pervomayske, Nevelske and Pobeda.
The same day, Ukrainian aviation conducted nine strikes on Russian positions. Confirmation has been received for the destruction of seven clusters of weapons and military equipment, as well as three Russian anti-aircraft missile systems. In addition, Ukrainian air defence shot down two UAVs, one enemy aircraft and one X-59 guided missile.
Missile troops and artillery hit three command posts, two clusters of manpower, weapons and military equipment. The enemy's electronic warfare systems and self-propelled artillery positions also came under fire.
