An adviser to the head of the presidential office, Mykhaylo Podolyak, has suggested in an interviee with Ukrayinska Pravda that the explosion on the Crimea Bridge is a manifestation of the conflict between Russian uniformed agencies.

"Of course, we are witnessing the beginning of large-scale negative processes in Russia. Controllability among the uniformed agencies has fallen sharply, powerful conflicts among the Russian special services have begun, everyone is looking for those responsible for military defeats, they want to reformat Mr Putin's inner circle and take other positions. Or arrest certain generals," he said.

Podolyak noted that the truck that detonated, by all indications, drove onto the bridge from the Russian side. Therefore, in his opinion, the answers should be sought in Russia.

In his opinion, the logistics of the explosion, synchronization with the fuel train, the area of the destroyed roadway point to the Russian trace.

"At the moment, we see in this striking incident an aggravation of the conflict between the military and law enforcement agencies of Russia and its getting out of the Kremlin's control," Podolyak said.

He suggested that the Russian leadership was looking for those responsible for the defeats at the front, and the FSB and the owners of PMCs are campaigning for the dismissal of the military leadership – Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu and Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov.

"Blowing up the bridge - Putin's personal project - not only undermines the position of the FSB, which allowed this to happen, but also gives an alibi to the military for systemic defeats in southern Ukraine. Like, because of the failure of the FSB, the entire logistics of the rear support and supply of reserves collapsed," Podoyak said.

A fire broke out on the Crimea Bridge, fuel tanks caught fire and part of the roadway was destroyed on the morning of 8 October. Traffic on the Crimea Bridge was completely stopped, huge queues formed at gas stations on the peninsula.

The Investigative Committee of Russia said three people were killed by the explosion.
