The head of the Sumy regional military administration, Dmytro Zhyvytskyy, has shared the details of a Russian terrorist attack in Myropillya.

"The enemy dropped a grenade from a drone in the very centre of the village, in the recreation area near the store. A shop employee, who was nearby at the time, was wounded. Unfortunately, she could not be saved due to massive bleeding from fragmentary wounds. The woman died. She was 41 years old. Three children were left without their mother," Zhyvytskyy said.

He added that the husband and the eldest son of the deceased are servicemen of the Armed Forces, the other two are still schoolchildren.

He noted that at the time of the attack there were many people near the store. When the woman was being rescued, the Russians dropped another grenade.

"Miraculously, no-one was injured in the second explosion," Zhyvytskyy said.

Also today, the Russians fired mortars at the border villages of the region. During 12.10-12.15, three "hits" were recorded near the village of Seredyna-Buda, and from 14.35 to 14.55, five more "hits" were reported in the area of Bachivsk.
