There were no breakthroughs or offensive actions from the territory of Belarus and Russia on the northern borders of Ukraine, the operational command North reported on its Facebook page.
"The situation in Chernihiv Region is currently under full control. Defence forces continue to perform their duties and are ready for any scenario. The situation in the border region is also under full control of the State Border Guard Service, the Armed Forces and the National Guard, and has not changed," the military said.
Despite this, residents of the city and the region were urged to stay in shelters, because the threat has not yet passed.
