As a result of damage to the Dniprovska substation in Dnipropetrovsk Region due to rocket attacks, the 750 kV ZNPP-Dniprovska communication line, the last one to feed Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant (ZNPP) after the occupiers shut down all six ZNPP units, was emergency shut down, Enerhoatom reports.
Currently, diesel generators have been switched on.
"Therefore, Zaporizhzhya NPP is completely de-energized. Diesel generators have switched on automatically", Enerhoatom said.
They noted that they had sent another batch of diesel fuel to ZNPP, but as of 10:00, the Russian side does not let the convoy of cars through.
"Russian shelling and damage to the energy infrastructure related to the operation of nuclear power plants is the same manifestation of nuclear terrorism as direct shelling of ZNPP and leads to the same consequences and threats of a radiation accident. The occupiers continue to neglect nuclear and radiation safety of the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, threatening the world with a radiation disaster", Enerhoatom noted.
