As a result of missile attacks on 10-11 October, around 30% of Ukraine's energy infrastructure was damaged, Ukraine's Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko in an interview with CNN.

According to him, this was the first time since the beginning of the war that Russia has dramatically targeted energy infrastructure.

One of the reasons for such actions of the Russian Federation, according to the minister, is that Ukrainian electricity exports to Europe help European countries to save on Russian gas and coal. Herman Halushchenko added that Ukraine is trying to quickly restore supplies from other sources.

Answering the question of whether Ukraine will receive additional energy from Europe, the minister said that this is one of the options. He noted that the Ukrainian energy system is still stable, but called on partners to provide air protection systems that can really help "cover" the infrastructure.

On 10-11 October, Russia carried out massive missile attacks on Ukrainian cities, mainly targeting critical infrastructure. On 10 October, 3900 settlements were left without electricity. The damage is being promptly repaired where it is possible given the safety situation.
