In the afternoon of 19 October, explosions occurred in Kyiv during an air alert, local residents and correspondents report.
Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said that it was the air defence work.
"Air defence shot down several Russian missiles over Kyiv. The air raid alert is not canceled! Stay in shelters! Air defence is still working," he urged.
Before that, air defence was also effective in the region. Enemy targets were also destroyed in the skies over Vinnytsya, Chernihiv, Poltava and Kharkiv regions. Vinnytsya Region also suffered a massive rocket attack. A "shahed" exploded in Chernihiv, and an infrastructure facility was hit in Ivano-Frankivsk Region.
