Partner states are helping Ukraine to overcome the consequences of the shelling of energy infrastructure facilities, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said at a government meeting.

According to him, the United States has allocated $55 million for the repair and maintenance of gas pipes, as well as the provision of electric generators, and alternative fuel sources for social infrastructure.

The Netherlands donate €70 million and Denmark helps with the heating season in Mykolayiv Region.

"We have preliminary agreements with Norway and the UK on gas supplies, especially in case of critical need in winter. The EU and Canada are also joining the assistance," Shmyhal added.

In addition, distribution system operators from Belgium, Poland, Germany, Italy and other countries provide Ukrenergo with generators, transformer equipment, wires, insulators for power lines and a lot of other equipment.

According to the Prime Minister, assistance from these countries is not just coming now, we have been receiving it during the previous months as well. Due to this, Ukraine will restore electricity supply faster.

In 10 days, Russians have damaged over 400 objects in 16 regions of Ukraine, including dozens of energy facilities.
