The Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk in a telethon encouraged Ukrainians who are currently abroad not to return home until spring, as the winter may be harsh due to Russia's terrorist attacks, RBC-Ukraine reports.

"You see: Russia has turned to terrorizing the civilian population, it cannot fight the army, it is losing on the battlefield... You see what Russia is doing... Unfortunately, the power grids are failing... If you have the opportunity to spend the winter abroad, you should do it," Vereshchuk said.

She also added that she would like " all of us to rebuild Kharkiv, Kherson regions and all other cities and villages of Ukraine together in spring".

Russians are massively attacking the critical infrastructure of Ukraine. The invaders target transformers, distribution substations and control points. After the SES workers eliminate the consequences of the attack, the utility specialists put the system back in order.

However, not everything can be repaired quickly. Because of this, the authorities ask to save electricity, especially during peak hours, so that the networks can handle the load. And when this is not enough, consumers are forced to stay without electricity for several hours, sometimes more than a day.
