Yesterday, Russians opened fire from machine guns at a car with children in it, the head of Kherson regional military administration, Yaroslav Yanushevych, has said.
According to him, the family was driving home when they came across an enemy checkpoint.
"Last night a man was driving his son and daughter from Oleshky to Sahy village in his own car. At one of the Russian checkpoints, the occupiers opened fire on the car with children. The 14-year-old boy died on the spot, and his 37-year-old father died on the operating table. Only the 5-year-old daughter survived. The girl had to have a finger amputated," said Yanushevych.
He added that Russian propagandists "have already managed to accuse some mythical 'Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group' of this crime".
"But everyone understands that the Russians opened fire. It was the Russian invaders who killed innocent people, leaving a little girl without a father and brother," Yanushevych stressed.
