A resignation request tendered by Minister for the Development of Communities and Territories Oleksiy Chernyshov has been registered with parliament, the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in parliament, Taras Melnychuk, has said on Telegram.
Sources earlier told LB.ua that Chernyshov may head the national oil and gas company Naftogaz instead of Yuriy Vitrenko, whose mandate the Cabinet of Ministers terminated yesterday.
MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak said that the ministry headed by Chernyshov may allegedly be merged with the Ministry of Infrastructure. In this case, Oleksiy Kubrakov will remain in charge of it.
However, the issue of merging the ministries has not been finally resolved yet. LB.ua's sources noted that there are many voices against it.
