Ukraine's international partners realize that our country can defeat the Russians, Finance Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko said in an exclusive interview for LB.ua.
"Everyone is well aware that probably the only country in the world, or rather the nation, which can now defeat the Russians is Ukrainians. And this is objective. Yes, by joint efforts. With the help of modern weapons and financial support, sanctions, but everyone understands how important this moment is now," he said, commenting on the negotiations on the provision of financial assistance to Ukraine for the next year.
He added that in the course of the negotiations the partners demonstrate an understanding of the situation, and there is not a hint of dissatisfaction with the continuation of financing our needs because of the war or pressure to negotiate with the enemy.
"No one has ever said that. Not a single message. There have not even been any messages approximately of this kind. I emphasize this," Serhiy Marchenko noted.
He also said that the Ministry of Finance has prepared a draft budget for the next year taking into account the fact that the war may last the whole year.
