The Serhiy Prytula Foundation has raised money for the purchase of 60 Spartan armoured personnel carriers for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a day and a half, volunteer Serhiy Prytula has said.
Prytula launched a crowdfunding campaign for 50 Spartan APCs, but in a day and a half it had to be closed as 236 million hryvnyas were collected instead of the planned 200 million.
Now Prytula's fund is negotiating with British partners to purchase more equipment than planned.
According to the volunteer, this time a lot of money came from abroad.
"We have 4 million hryvnyas left over for the next project. It's something very good, necessary and armoured," said Prytula, adding that this year the UK has donated 35 Spartan armoured personnel carriers to the Ukrainian army as material and technical assistance.
