The United States has announced a new military aid package worth $400 million.
According to Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh, Ukraine will receive air defence systems, as well as repaired tanks from the Czech Republic and drones.
In particular, the aid package includes:
Hawk air defence systems;
1100 Phoenix Ghost drones;
repaired T-72 tanks (45 units);
250 M1117 armoured personnel carriers;
40 armoured boats.
As for the tanks that are stored in the Czech Republic, the United States and the Netherlands agreed to repair them. In total, this includes 90 units; the United States will finance the repair of 45 units. Ukraine will receive part of the equipment by the end of this year and the rest in 2023.
