After 11 November, explosions were heard in the outskirts of Mykolayiv, but the city itself was not shelled, because the occupiers moved S-300 missile systems to the Dnipro's eastern bank, Mykolayiv mayor Oleksandr Senkevych has said at the Ukraine Media Centre.
"We were shelled for the last time three days ago. And, you know, this is when a five-story building collapsed all five floors down, and seven people were killed. Since then, we have heard explosions on the outskirts of the city, but, in fact, there are no explosions in the city itself," the mayor said.
He explained there were no recent attacks because previously Mykolayiv had been shelled from Kherson with S-300 missile systems.
"I understand that they have moved them (missile systems - ed.) to the left bank and are deploying new defences and new places for attack. That's why it is quiet so far. I don't think it will always be so quiet, but I hope for as long as possible," Senkevych said.
