Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Gen Valeriy Zaluzhnyy has had a telephone conversation with General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

"I have assured him that we will fight until we have no strength. Our objective is to liberate the whole Ukrainian land from the russian occupation. We will not stop on this way under any circumstances. Ukrainian soldiers will accept no negotiations, agreements or compromise solutions. The only term for negotiation: russia must leave all the captured territories," he said on Facebook.

Zaluzhnyy briefed Milley on the war situation and the Ukrainian defence forces' urgent needs.

"The situation on the frontline is stable and controlled. We are tracking attentively the enemy's activities on the border with the republic of belarus and building a reliable shield for the protection of Ukraine in the north," he noted.

"Despite tremendous resistance from the occupying troops, the defence forces continue the offensive in the Kharkiv direction," he added.

According to Zaluzhnyy, Russia troops have been mounting active attacks in the directions of Bilohorivka-Soledar-Bakhmut-Mayorsk and Avdiyivka-Opytne-Vodyane-Pisky-Maryinka-Pavlivka albeit without success.

"We are holding defence due to the resilience of our forward units and combat-capable reserves," Zaluzhnyy explained.
