On Thursday, 17 November, Russia carried out a massive shelling of the gas production infrastructure of JSC UkrGasVydobuvannya in eastern Ukraine.
There is information about several destroyed facilities, and several others suffered various damages, the Head of NJSC Naftogaz Oleksiy Chernyshov announced.
"UkrGasVydobuvannya specialists promptly arrived on site to the damaged facilities. They are currently assessing the consequences and scale of the attack. Information about the victims is also being clarified," he said.
The State Emergency Service has already eliminated the fire caused by the shelling.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal also reported that the Russians had hit the gas infrastructure today. In particular, they struck the facilities in the city of Dnipro.
