The Ministry of National Defence of Lithuania has said it will purchase cold weather clothing for about 25,000 Ukrainian servicemen.
The ministry has bought underwear and clothes for cold weather from three Lithuanian companies for more than 2 million euros.
In addition, one of these three manufacturers, Audimas Supply, decided to donate 1,000 fleece jumpers to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"We are grateful to Lithuanian business for solidarity with the state that defends itself from aggression and fights for freedom. All Lithuanian people of good will support Ukraine in this difficult time, a little help can make a difference and save lives," Lithuanian Defence Minister Arvydas Anušauskas said.
Earlier, the Lithuanian government approved EUR 13 million in support for Ukraine.
