The Verkhovna Rada supported in the second reading the laws 8196 and 8197 on promoting the restoration of the energy infrastructure of Ukraine. Accordingly, 331 and 332 MPs voted for the laws, said MP of the Holos (Voice) faction Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
According to him, generators, other equipment, and Starlink are now to be imported at the legislative level free of duty and VAT. It also applies to individuals. The regulation will be valid until May 2023.
In the second reading, the MPs adopted the amendment extending this exemption to postal and express shipments.
"We supported the provision of the opportunity to store fuel without a license. At the insistence of the Government, up to 2000 litres. Larger volumes will have to be reported to the tax authorities on a declarative basis," added Zheleznyak.
Also, according to him, "the technical assistance of Energy Community was exempted from VAT and import duties on equipment for the restoration of energy supply".
