Economy Ministry says last week Ukrainian entrepreneurs took loans for almost UAH2bn

Last week, Ukrainian entrepreneurs took loans for UAH 1.957m.

According to the Economy Ministry, 440 entrepreneurs took advantage of the government programme Affordable Loans 5-7-9%.

The programme has been in effect since February 2020 and over this time, businesses have taken loans worth UAH 161bn.

The rating of the most popular types of loans for the entire period looks as follows:

anti-crisis loans (UAH 61.4bn);

refinancing of previously obtained loans (UAH 28.6bn)

for anti-war purposes (UAH 33bn);

for investment purposes (UAH 10.9bn).

UAH 25.7bn of credit funds were received by farmers, and UAH 1.2bn by trading companies.

According to the Economy Ministry, the most frequently lent under the programme are enterprises operating in the following areas:

agriculture (53%);

trade and production (24%)

industrial processing (14%).

The leaders in terms of the amount of concluded agreements are Lviv (8%), Kharkiv (6%), Dnipropetrovsk (7%), Odesa (7%), Kyiv (6%), Vinnytsya (6%) regions and Kyiv (10%).

The programme Affordable loans 5-7-9% involves 44 banks.

In June, Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal said that the rates under the loan programme 5-7-9 will continue to remain preferential.

This programme allows you to attract up to UAH 60m at 0% for the period of wartime +1 month. For retailers, loans of up to UAH 1bn at 5% per annum are available. This allows them to pay their suppliers on time and replenish their financial balance.
