The Pentagon expects that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive Bradley infantry fighting vehicles within a few weeks, Liga reports citing a briefing by US DoD Spokesman Brigadier General Pat Ryder.
According to him, the United States will provide military assistance to Ukraine not only for defence but also for the liberation of its territory.
He noted that Washington expects the arrival of Bradley infantry fighting vehicles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces within the next few weeks.
“We'll continue to work as quickly as we can, we're not going to announce in advance exactly when those systems will arrive. And certainly the Ukrainians, I'm sure, will highlight them once they do get on the ground,” Ryder said.
The General stressed that the training on Bradley would take place in Germany at the general military training base in Grafenwoehr, Bavaria.
The new assistance package from the United States worth $3.073 billion is record-breaking not only in terms of cost but also in terms of equipment. For the first time, it will officially have Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, 155 mm self-propelled artillery systems, RIM-7 Sea Sparrow missiles, which are to be integrated into Buk, and Zuni missiles, which can be laser-guided.
