The Command of the Russian Armed Forces is reinforcing the grouping of troops on the territory of Ukraine, Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Malyar reported citing data from the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the MoD.
"The command of the Russian Armed Forces is strengthening the grouping of troops (forces) on the territory of Ukraine. It moves mobilized troops from the training grounds of Belarus and Russia to the combat zone and border areas. The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on Donetsk Region. The most enemy activity is observed in the Bakhmut, Lyman and Avdiyivka areas," the statement reads.
As of 10 January, the Russian occupational troops, including the operational reserve, consist of about 280 formations (last week - 250). The enemy rotates units within the regional grouping of troops (forces) on the territory of Belarus.
The situation in the combat areas remains difficult. In the absence of the necessary amount of technically ready military equipment, the Kremlin actively uses human resources to achieve success on the battlefield.
