Ukrainian military will start training on the American Bradley M2 infantry fighting vehicle next week, it will take several weeks, Pentagon spokesman Pat Ryder said at a briefing, LIGA.net reports.
"Training will mostly start next week in Germany," he said.
According to Ryder, the Ukrainians will undergo manoeuvre and general military training. He did not name a specific date for the delivery of the vehicles to Ukraine.
"You will see when Bradleys arrive on the battlefield. Let Ukraine announce it. We expect this training to last weeks, not months," the Pentagon spokesman said.
Ukraine will receive American M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles in the M2A2 ODS version as part of a record military aid package. The Pentagon believes the Bradley will help Ukraine safely move troops in high-risk areas while offering a platform with robust anti-tank and anti-personnel capabilities.
