The Government has dismissed First Deputy Head of the State Forestry Agency Yuriy Sotnyk, First Deputy Head of the State Customs Service Oleksandr Shchutskyy, and Deputy Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP) Andriy Lordkipanidze, according to the Uriad online Telegram channel.
The Government also invalidated the following decrees:
- on the temporary assignment of the duties of the Head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine to V. Demchenko;
- on the temporary assignment of the duties of the Head of the SSUFSCP to A. Lordkipanidze.
At the same time, the Government appointed temporary acting heads:
- Head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine - Zvyagintsev Serhiy (Deputy Head of the State Customs Service);
- Head of the SSUFSCP - Olha Shevchenko (Deputy Head of the (SSUFSCP).
In addition, the Government initiated disciplinary proceedings against Ruslan Cherkasskyy, Deputy Head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine. He has been suspended from his position for the duration of the disciplinary proceedings.
In addition to the high-profile dismissals, high-profile searches took place today. The acting SBU Head said that "the Security Service of Ukraine, together with colleagues from the law enforcement agencies, is conducting a number of large-scale operational and investigative activities aimed at combating the internal enemy. We are talking about detecting people who harm the state security in various areas: traitors to Ukraine and agents of Russian special services; representatives of organized crime; officials and corrupt officials who undermine the country's economy and the stable functioning of the military-industrial complex."
In particular, Arsen Avakov was searched on the State Emergency Service helicopter crash case, and Ihor Kolomoyskyy on the Ukrnafta case.
