On Wednesday, 1 February, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine (ESBU) came to Ihor Kolomoyskyy's house to search it. Investigative actions are being carried out at the businessman's home, law enforcement sources told LB.ua. Details are being clarified.

On September 18, it became known that NABU detectives had searched Kolomoyskyy's residence in the Bukovel resort. The search took place regarding the Ukrnafta case, which has now been taken over by the state. Kolomoyskyy used to be its co-owner. In November, the SBU and the ESBU conducted searches at the Kremenchuk refinery, which was operated by Ukrnafta, to verify information about the multimillion-dollar evasion of the mandatory excise tax for 2022 by the company's management.

In addition, the US accuses the businessman of embezzling billions of dollars from PrivatBank and using companies to launder this money in the US and around the world. The U.S. Department of Justice has already filed four lawsuits seeking to confiscate Kolomoyskyy's and his partner Boholyubov's assets. In addition, sanctions have been imposed against him, making it impossible for the businessman and his family members to enter the United States.

Kolomoyskyy denies the allegations. According to him, all investments in the United States were made from his own funds received in 2007-2008 under an agreement with Evraz and from the income of other businesses kept at PrivatBank.
