Over the past day, the occupants carried out 5 air and 6 missile strikes. They fired over 65 times from multiple launch rocket systems. The civilian infrastructure of settlements in Sumy, Kharkiv, Mykolayiv and Kherson regions was damaged, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Facebook on the morning of the 343rd day of the large-scale Russian invasion.
The risk of Russian air and missile strikes remains high across Ukraine.
The enemy does not cease offensive operations in Lyman and Bakhmut areas. The invaders are suffering heavy losses. Occupational forces’ offensive on Avdiyivka and Novopavlivka area is unsuccessful.
During the day of 31 January, Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled attacks of the occupiers in the vicinities of Yampolivka, Spirne, Rozdolivka, Blahodatne, Krasna Hora, Bakhmut, Klishchiyivka, and Paraskoviyivka (Donetsk Region).
Volyn, Polissya, Siversk, and Slobozhansk areas: no significant changes, no offensive groups of the adversary were identified. The vicinities of Rozhkovychi, Basivka, Oleksandrivka, Hrabovske (Sumy Region), Veterynarne, Strilecha, Hlyboke, Zelene, Neskuchne, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk, Starytsya, and Budarky (Kharkiv Region) suffered mortar and artillery attacks.
Kupyansk area: the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions in the vicinities of Ivanivka, Kupyansk, Kyslivka, Kotlyarivka (Kharkiv Region), Novoselivske, and Kovalivka (Luhansk Region).
Lyman area: Novojehorivka, Nevske, Chervonopopivka, Kreminna, and Dibrova (Luhansk Region) were subject to enemy attacks.
Bakhmut area: Verkhnokamyanske, Spirne, Berestove, Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Predtechyne, Klishchiyivka, Kurdyumivka, Druzhba, and Maiors’k (Donetsk Region) came under enemy fire.
Avdiyivka area: Berdychi, Tonenke, Sjeverne, Avdiyivka, Vodyane, Heorhiyivka, Maryinka, and Pobjeda suffered enemy fire.
Novopavlivka area: the vicinities of Velyka Novosilka, Neskuchne, Novoukrainka, Bohoyavlenka, Vuhledar, and Mykilski Dachi (Donetsk Region) came under fire.
Zaporizhzhya area: the vicinities of 20 settlements were shelled, including Vremivka, Novopil (Donetsk Region), Malynivka, Hulyaypole, Charivne, Orikhiv, and Novodanylivka (Zaporizhzhya Region).
Kherson area: the vicinities of 21 settlements, including Zolota Balka, Mykolayivka, Tyahynka, Ponyativka, Antonivka, Berehove, Yantarne, and Kherson came under MLRS, artillery, and mortar fire. The attacks caused casualties among the civilian population.
Russian forces keep suffering losses. Yet another military hospital was set up in the vicinity of Novoivanivka (Luhansk Region). It provides treatment to about 100 Russian servicemen. The severity of their injuries is usually downplayed and not accounted for in medical records. After being rendered minimal aid, they are sent back to the front line.
On 31 January, Ukrainian Air Force launched 9 air strikes on the concentrations of enemy troops and 2 air strikes on Russian anti-aircraft missile systems.
Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit 13 concentrations of enemy troops, 1 command post, and 1 ammunition depot.
