Russian occupying forces continued to shell the border settlements of Sumy and Chernihiv regions on 1 February, the Operational Command North has said on Telegram.
Thus, between 14:50 and 15:30, Russian troops struck near the village of Studenok, probably with a 120-mm mortar. The military recorded 17 hits.
At the same time, from 15:10 to 15:40, Russians allegedly fired from a 120-mm mortar near the village of Yeline in Snov District of Chernihiv Region. Fourteen hits were recorded.
Three local residents died as a result of a 120-mm mine hitting the cellar of a private house. One was wounded and taken to a medical facility.
