The UK believes sending jets to Ukraine "would not be the right approach", Sky News has reported.
Britain's Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has responded to Boris Johnson's call for the UK to send fighter jets to Ukraine.
"I've been involved with this for a pretty long time. And I've learned two things; never rule anything in and never rule anything out," Wallace said.
He said that while no "solid decision" had been made, he did not think it was the "right approach" for now to send jets.
"What's going to move on this conflict this year is going to be the ability for Ukrainians to deploy Western armour against Russia," he said.
