President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that victory in the war would be faster if Ukraine had long-range weapons.
At a press conference following the EU-Ukraine summit in Kyiv, Zelenskyy noted that "Ukraine knows about these long-range weapons, Russia knows about them, and Brussels knows about them".
"We are confident of our victory, but the victory would be faster... I am really grateful to the three dozen states or most of them who have been supporting us from the very beginning, and therefore these two points that were previously a priority for me remain: the first is our great gratitude, Ukraine's gratitude to the leaders of Europe, the leadership of the European Union, the second is weapons," the president said.
Zelenskyy noted that he could visit other countries and would like to come to Brussels, but there are great risks for such a trip because of Russia's revenge.
"I really want these two points to be confirmed by the EU leaders, and then our meeting is inevitable," he added.
