The Come Back Alive (Povernys Zhyvym) Army Assistance Foundation has launched a fundraiser to purchase equipment for one of the Armed Forces units that will help the Ukrainian military defeat the occupiers in cyberspace, the foundation's press service reports.
The main partner of the organization in this campaign is the Portmone payment service.
The project aims to raise UAH 50 million to strengthen the capabilities of one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which operates in hostile cyberspace in a way that can cause damage to the Russian army on the real battlefield.
More information on the initiative is available here.
"The Armed Forces of Ukraine have already formed a new structure, which we call the cyber forces. These are soldiers who will perform tasks on the invisible battlefield and help real tanks and artillery to win back Ukrainian territory. In fact, we are preparing for a cyber offensive. It will reach even the most rotten heart of the occupying country," explained Andriy Rymaruk, head of the foundation's military department.
The organization does not disclose the list of upcoming purchases but notes that each hryvnya spent will work to complicate the logistics and control of enemy troops, as well as to identify the locations of Russian occupiers and further destroy them effectively by other units of the Armed Forces.
This is not the first project for the Come Back Alive team to provide cyber warriors with equipment. Previously, thanks to the donations, the organization's team purchased and delivered office equipment and specialized equipment worth more than UAH 8 million to the Ukrainian military performing tasks in cyberspace. This equipment helps the Armed Forces of Ukraine learn about the enemy's plans in time.
