At a meeting on 21 February, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed two deputies to Defenсe Minister Oleksiy Reznikov, the government's representative in parliament, Taras Melnychuk, has said on Telegram.

Vitaliy Deyneha, founder of the Come Back Alive Foundation, has been appointed deputy minister of defence for digital development, digital transformation and digitalization. Former Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada Andriy Shevchenko became deputy minister for European integration.

Deyneha founded the Come Back Alive charity in 2014. In April 2020, together with the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, he raised funds among Ukrainian diplomats to help the military fight Covid-19. He was awarded the Order of Merit, III class, the medal For Assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Ivan Mazepa Cross, a presidential decoration.

Andriy Shevchenko is a former journalist, one of the founders and head of the Kyiv Independent Media Trade Union. Je was also one of the founders of the news-based 5 Kanal TV. In 2005, he was appointed vice president of the National Television Company of Ukraine, where he was in charge of information policy. He was twice elected to parliament in 2006 and 2012. In 2015, then President Petro Poroshenko appointed Shevchenko as Ukraine's Ambassador to Canada.

Also on 21 February, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the dismissal of Serhiy Shurabura, head of the Voznesensk district state administration in Mykolayiv Region.
