This afternoon Russian troops hit a public transport stop in Kherson, the local news website MOST has reported, citing eyewitnesses.

A large number of people were at the bus stop at the time. According to the Prosecutor-General's Office, at least four people were killed: two on the spot and two on the way to the hospital.

There are also reports of rockets hitting a residential building in the city centre. An elderly woman was killed as a result of this hit.

As of 4.39 p.m., the Kharkiv City Council reported a 16-year-old teenager among the wounded. She has a mine-blast injury, multiple shrapnel wounds to the face and lower extremities.

According to preliminary data, the Russian-backed militants fired 17 times at the territory of the Kherson community.

"The invaders attacked Kindiyka, Zelenivka, Antonivka, Tavriyskyy and Korabelnyy districts. The centre of Kherson, Svobody Square, a public transport stop, and the territory of one of the city's utility companies came under fire," the mayor's office said.

The shelling damaged houses and cars.

As of 3.30 p.m., the Kherson regional military administration said five people were killed and 16 are in hospitals. They are being provided with assistance.

Earlier today, the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported about 20 explosions in the city. According to him, the Russians could have shelled Kherson with Grad multiple rocket launchers.
