The explosions in temporarily occupied Mariupol show that distant targets are no longer out of reach for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Natalya Humenyuk, head of the joint press centre of the Operational Command South, has said on the air of the national telethon.
"At this stage, we can only state that remoteness is a very relative concept. What is considered so remote that it is inaccessible is not always so. The direction of Mariupol is no longer completely unattainable for us," said Humenyuk.
This morning three explosions occurred in Mariupol on the territory of the Illich Iron and Steel Works and near the airport. In the afternoon, another explosion was recorded in the city centre.
Yesterday, two fuel depots at Russian bases in the captured city were destroyed.
