Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has emphasized that any new negotiations with Russia must comply with the United Nations General Assembly Resolution "Principles of the Charter of the United Nations underlying a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine".

"The resolution that was passed yesterday at the UN General Assembly is in line with the logic set out in President Zelenskyy's peace formula. The goal of this plan is to restore respect for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity within the borders, which were internationally recognized in 1991. It is in full compliance with the UN Charter, which we have pledged to uphold and respect," Kuleba said at a meeting of the UN Security Council.

He noted that the main goal of the plan is to force Russia to withdraw its military from the territory of Ukraine.

"In short, the goal of the plan is to force Russia to leave Ukraine and make the world safer. Obviously, any new peace proposals must meet the requirements and framework of the voted resolution. We call on all countries of the world to support the implementation of the resolution and the Zelenskyy peace formula. We must act united and quickly," the foreign minister said.

Kuleba added that Ukraine would resist the Russian occupiers, as it has done before.

"And it will win. Putin will lose faster than he thinks. This is what Russian officials and public servants should know. Do you think you can avoid responsibility for everything you have done? No, you will stand trial. You will testify about how you helped the aggression and followed orders. Do you think the world will get tired of supporting Ukraine? This support will only grow. Do you think Ukraine will suddenly get tired of defending itself? The more you attack, the more resolute our resistance will be and the closer your complete defeat will be," the minister said.
