The so-called peace plan proposed by China is a demonstration of Beijing's thoughts on the matter, not a declaration or resolution, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said at a press conference in response to a question from LB.ua editor-in-chief of LB.ua Oleg Bazar.
"I believe that the fact that China has started talking about Ukraine is very good. The question is what follows the words? The question is about the steps, where they will lead, what is the result for us. The territorial integrity [clause] matches [Ukraine's stance], I think there is respect for the territorial integrity. It doesn't say which country, but the territorial integrity of our state has been violated," he said.
China's points refer to nuclear safety, which is also important. This matches the interests of the world and Ukraine. However, there are opinions with which President Zelenskyy disagrees.
"It is correct to think that if there are already opinions that somehow tally with respect for international law and security, we should use them, work with China on this point. Our task is to bring everyone together to isolate some," he said.
