Russian forces continue to storm Ukrainian positions in Donetsk Region, trying to find a "gap" between Maryinka and Avdiyivka, Col Oleksiy Dmytrashkovskyy, spokesman for the joint press centre of the Tavriya Defence Forces, has said on the air of the telethon.
"Analysing the enemy's actions, we can say that 55 attacks on our positions yesterday and this morning may indicate that the enemy is trying to find a gap to enter in this area - between Maryinka and Avdiyivka," he said.
As reported earlier, in the Avdiyivka and Shakhtarske sectors, the Russians unsuccessfully attacked the positions of our troops near the towns of Kamyanka, Severne, Vodyane, Pervomayske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka and Pobeda.
