The selection commission has identified three candidates for director of the National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine who meet the requirements and have the necessary experience for this position, the NABU press centre has said.
They are:
Serhiy Hupyak, head of the 4th Investigation Department of the State Bureau of Investigation in Khmelnytskyy;
Semen Kryvonos, head of the State Inspectorate of Architecture and Urban Development;
Roman Osypchuk, head of the Internal Control Department of the NABU.
During the first stage, 78 applications were received, processed for compliance with the competition requirements and 74 candidates were admitted to the next stage. The second stage consisted of a series of tests, including knowledge of legislation, general abilities and skills, assessment of personal competencies, and a practical task. Based on the results of all the tests and practical tasks, 21 candidates proceeded to the third stage.
The final stage included integrity and professional competence interviews. The future head of the Bureau will be selected by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The previous director of the National Anticorruption Bureau, Artem Sytnyk, was appointed on 16 April 2015. On 16 April 2022, his term of office expired, and the NABU was temporarily headed by his first deputy, Gizo Uglava.
