During the day, Russians unsuccessfully tried to break through the defences of Ukrainian troops near the settlements of Synkivka in Kharkiv Region and Makiyivka in Luhansk Region, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said.
The Russians continue trying to capture Bakhmut, where constant positional fighting continues. In the Bakhmut sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian attacks in the vicinity of Oleksandro-Shultyne and Vasyukivka.
According to the command, the aviation of the Ukrainian Defence Forces carried out 11 strikes on the clusters of Russian personnel and military equipment over the past day.
Meanwhile, Russia-backed militants launched two missile strikes and two air strikes and fired 18 times from multiple launch rocket systems.
