In his evening address on 29 April, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed, in particular, the organisers and perpetrators of the missile attack that killed 23 people, including six children, in Uman.
"We will do everything possible to ensure that the terrorist state is held accountable for its actions as soon as possible. Anyone who prepares such missile attacks cannot help but know that they will become an accomplice to murder. Everyone who aims and launches missiles, who maintains planes and ships, not just those who give orders, but everyone: you are all terrorists and murderers, and you must all be punished," the president said.
He said that the lives of six children had been taken by this strike on Uman. In total, 23 people were killed.
The president also said that several important steps are being prepared next week to organise a special tribunal against Russian war criminals and to accelerate the defeat of the terrorist state.
"It is not enough for Ukraine that Russia is weak, as it is now, but that it is held responsible for everything it has done," Zelenskyy said.
He noted that new sanctions decisions are being prepared against Russia's defence industry, as well as against foreign entities whose activities help Russia to continue terror.
"I have recently signed new decrees on awarding our defenders, our heroes. Almost 450 more soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: ground troops, paratroopers, air force, and territorial defence. And more than 300 more from the National Guard, our police, the State Emergency Service, and border guards," the president said.
He noted that in total, 45,038 Ukrainians have been awarded state awards during the full-scale war. This is a testament to the extraordinary daily heroism of Ukrainians.
