Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Malyar has stated that there will be no announcement of a counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Plans like silence. There will be no announcement when it starts," Malyar wrote on social media and posted a video of Ukrainian soldiers calling for silence.

"It is important to understand that there will not be a day when the Armed Forces say: 'Tomorrow we are launching a counter-offensive.' This is impossible in a time of war because this is classified information. These are the plans of the Armed Forces, which we have no right to discuss in the public space, and the military itself does not discuss them. At the same time, we should not publicly reduce the counteroffensive to just some active offensive actions," Malyar told the telethon.

Earlier, the head of the Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, said that the defence forces have the necessary minimum of weapons to begin deoccupying the occupied territories. National Security and Defence Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov also stressed that Ukraine is ready to launch a counteroffensive, but did not name any dates.
